Dr. Michael Orser, DVM
Dr. Michael Orser is the founder and owner of Alouette Animal Hospital. I have 3 children the oldest is Sarah who is studying Dentistry at Dalhousie University, Melissa attends University of Victoria and Brett is 17 and plays Junior Hockey and will graduate in 2010 from High school. I enjoy golfing, running, scuba diving, and keeping Alouette Animal Hospital a cutting edge facility for the pet owners of Maple Ridge. I was raised in Maple Ridge and graduated in 1983 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in saskatoon.
Dr. Kristi Blomsma, DVM
Dr Kristina Blomsma was born and raised in Moncton NB. She graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI where she met her husband Dr. Tyler Hughes.
Dr. Tyler Hughes, BSC, DVM
Dr Tyler Hughes hails from Halifax NS. He also graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI. Together they have two English Setters Lily and MacKinley and two cats Becky and Belle, a rabbit Chloe and a gecko named Zilly. They both joined our team in June 2009 and are excited to be living on the west coast.
Dr. Laurie Head DVM, Dip ACVR Dr. Laurie Head is a Board Certified Radiologist. In addition to being a bit photo shy, Laurie works out of our hospital every other Thursday performing ultrasound examinations, echocardiography and providing her expert opinion on X-rays and challenging cases. She allows our clients the priviledge of having her come to us rather than having to go to Vancouver for a specialty consult.
