Vaccinations

Protect your feline companion against dangerous diseases with a vaccination plan.

We can provide your cat with the necessary vaccines and suggest other optimal vaccines based on your cat’s lifestyle. Vaccines protect your cat from serious often deadly viruses and can prevent transmission to other animals and people. An annual examination and vaccines are an effective way to help ensure a healthy, safe and happy cat.

Does my indoor cat need to be vaccinated?

We recommend that indoor cats also get vaccinations to prevent potentially fatal diseases. Cats are agile critters and can accidentally get outside! They may also need rabies vaccinations.

What are FVRCP and core vaccines for cats?

FVR – Rhinotracheitis
C – Calicivirus/Chlamydia
P – Panleukopenia

Other core vaccines: Rabies, Feline Leukemia.

How often does my adult cat need to be vaccinated?

The frequency of vaccines depends on lifestyle (ex. indoor and/or outdoor, porch access), please consult with your veterinarian.

Are there any risks associated with cat vaccines?

The vaccines are considered very safe. Occasionally, cats can have vaccine reactions, and your veterinarian is happy to discuss any concerns you may have.
